Portia Pexington issued a challenge late last year called What’s Your Beauty Base Zero. I know I’m a little late to the challenge, but I was away over Christmas and all my blogging was put on hold; but I bookmarked this one to do when I returned because it’s something that I find VERY useful.
I’ve never thought of it the way Portia describes hers – standing in front of your wardrobe looking for your outfit for the day. I simply use mine as my go-to outfit after I have done a blog post, or if I am going to an event as it’s lag free for me. When I get myself all set up for a blog post and save my outfit for future use this is what I revert to, usually for the next couple of hours while I photoshop and write up my post. It leaves me ‘clean’ and ready to decide what to wear next. Or I’m also ready to start work on things for my store, having no attachments on means I can usually pick up where I left off working on an outfit or accessories.
Having outfits saved though really is a huge timesaver. I remember back before this feature was available I would make copies of all the things I was wearing and manually set up folders by copying and pasting everything and it took forever. Now it’s just a simple click and save and it’s all done for you. No more flicking back to a blog post you wrote three months trying to remember that shorts and combo you wore because you want to wear them again. I highly recommend using your outfits folder.
